Woods' season is in-swing and he is ripping it up. "We've played three so far. We've won them all," Woods said. "Against Northern I had like 10 catches for 80 yards. I had two big hits. Against Jordan I scored a touchdown and two catches for 73 yards. Just this past game against Riverside I played mostly defense."
Woods is Mr. Versatility. On defense he can play either the cornerback or safety positions equally well. Although in the last game he mostly played cornerback he is normally a safety when he is on the field. Woods admits that he likes safety better, but will play where the coaches puts him.
With already twelve catches into this season people need to remember that he only had 35 receptions all of last year. There is a renewed interest to get the ball in Woods' hands. "Yes sir, they've been trying to get me the ball a lot."
Woods committed to Virginia in May, but has since backed off of his commitment possibly. "If I do take other visits, although I'm not sure about that yet, I'm going to go to Nebraska, Clemson and Georgia."
Woods admits that he wanted to keep his options open a little and to see some other schools. All of the schools that he is considering visiting beyond Virginia has offered and are calling him still.
However, Woods has only set up the official to Virginia on January 21. However, over the past few weeks Woods has had a change of heart. "I think that I am just going to wrap it up with Virginia. I am not going to take any other officials."
Nebraska is left to find other wide receiver prospects and Virginia has re-gained a solid commit.
