Official visits coming clearer for Chancellor

Chris Chancellor is one of the top cornerbacks in the state of Florida. That would then make him one of the top cornerbacks in the nation.

At 5-foot-9 and 155 pounds, Chris Chancellor can lock down and entire side of a field when it comes to defending the pass. People just don't challenge him anymore. Probably because time after time he has beat the challenge.

"We got rained out just the first game, that was it," Chancellor said about the hurricanes. "The first game all I had was a pass break up. They didn't throw the ball that much. The second game they didn't throw the ball, but the third game I dropped an interception and then I picked one off and took it back for a touchdown."

So far this season Chancellor is sitting with two pass break ups and one interception that he returned 41 yards for a touchdown. Recruiting is taking off for him.

"Florida, Florida State, Rutgers, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Iowa, West Virginia, and Nebraska have been calling every week. I talk to coach Phil (Elmassian) from Nebraska. I watched Nebraska play against Pittsburgh."

With all of those schools calling and of course coming to watch him play how does Nebraska fit into his recruiting picture? "They're in my top five. I've set up on official. I'm going to Rutgers on 10/30."

Although nothing is set about Chancellor's top five he did say that Nebraska and Rutgers would be in his top five. Expect for the calls to keep coming as Chancellor aims to beat his marks last season of 7 interceptions and 22 pass break-ups.
