How was Marcus Walker's visit to Nebraska?

When you are a four star rated guard by several scouting services, scholarship offers aren't hard to come by. That is exactly the case with Kansas City point guard Marcus Walker. With offers from many major conference basketball programs such as Missouri, Kansas State and Nebraska, Walker has no shortage of schools to choose from. With that in mind, he was in Lincoln to visit the Cornhuskers this past weekend.

Regarding that visit to Nebraska, Marcus Walker had this to say "the visit was really good. I got a chance to tour the campus and had a chance to get to play with the players. One good thing about Nebraska is that they have the major that I want to go to school for. Most of the others that I am considering, they don't offer my major." Marcus currently is looking at majoring in Fashion Design if he were to attend Nebraska.

Another factor in the Huskers' favor is the players on the team. Marcus stated "the players there are very down to earth. I really liked that about them."

As far as those other schools that Marcus has been recruited by, he really likes the fact that they are very close to home. Marcus did visit Duquesne and also has been considering several Big XII schools with Kansas State and Missouri among them.

Although he admits that he doesn't currently have any leaders, Walker would like to sign early. "I am not in any rush, but I would like to get it done before the basketball season" Marcus said. (His basketball season begins on November 26th.)

On the court Marcus is very capable of playing both guard positions despite being just 6' tall. According to many scouts he is a capable passer, can handle the ball and has can fill it up from the outside. After just three seasons Walker is already the all time scoring leader at Archbishop O'Hara and averaged 27 points per contest as a junior.
