La Fell visiting Missouri followed by Nebraska

The re-vamping of the offense in Nebraska has led the Huskers to recruit players with skill sets at positions that they never had before. The wide receiver position is definitely one that has changed for Nebraska.

The idea of the Nebraska receiver before Bill Callahan was to block first and then catch. that type of receiver has been successful, some very successful, at Nebraska but not in his days following Lincoln.

The change in offense has Brandon La Fell of Houston (Texas) Lamar looking north to Lincoln as a possible place to get his education and help the Huskers re-write history. It's obvious that he has the skill to see the field.

"The season is still going good," La Fell said. "I am still averaging 20+ yards per catch."

Those stats combined with La Fell's measureables, 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds and 4.5/40, have some of the nation's best having offered. La Fell has two officials scheduled with one already under his belt.

"I've been to Arizona. It was alright. I know that I could play early there. I am going to Missouri this weekend (11/6) and to Nebraska on November 26. I am going with Martellus Bennett that weekend to Nebraska."

With La Fell he is putting as much emphasis as getting on the field early with the opportunity to go after National Championships and get a good education.

Right now La Fell is keeping his options open, but in previous updates has been quick to state that Nebraska was a leader. Does the change in offense and the coach that is recruiting him have anything to do with that?

"The change in offense at Nebraska is good for me. I know that I can go there and play early too. Coach John Blake is recruiting me and he is so funny to talk to."

We'll catch up with La Fell after he visits Columbia this weekend.
