Lucky Sets The Record Straight

With Marlon Lucky looking to find a new home in Lincoln, Nebraska next year, there have been some rumors regarding what could happen if he had the opportunity to go to Southern California. How solid is Marlon's commit to Nebraska and what does he hope to accomplish between now and when he reaches his eventually collegiate destination?

Marlon Lucky's senior football campaign is over.  After an eight-touchdown evening, Marlon's squad came up a little short in their most recent game.  Now, the name of the game becomes recruiting and certainly, USC is interested in the North Hollywood runningback.  Do they have a shot at Lucky and just how committed is Marlon to Nebraska?  "100% committed," he said.  Lucky actually is relieved to have the big decision out of the way.  "It's good, just gonna focus on school now," he said.  Marlon said that he is not interested in taking any other visits to any school in the country.

So, with Marlon's season now over, there's much for him to accomplish in the off-season, but what are his specific goals?  "I gotta get my grades up.  I'll probably run track the 100 and the 200.  Probably focus on getting faster and stronger," he said.  For anyone who has seen Marlon's film or seen the runningback in person, a leaner, faster, stronger Marlon Lucky is not what opposing defensive coordinators want to see lining up against their charges.  Marlon had some contact with Coaches Norvell and Blake this past week.  The three talk about football, life in general and everything in between.

As Marlon continues to progress through his senior academic year, we'll be sure to keep in touch as Signing Day gets closer and closer.
