Octavien ends suspense, he's a Husker

Nebraska was looking for some linebackers that could come in and contribute right away for next year. With Dontrel Moore already on board, just one piece was missing. That fell into place today.

Nebraska secured the commitment of Steve Octavien. Octavien of William Rainey Harper (IL) Junior College. He was deciding between North Carolina, Iowa and Nebraska.

"Yes, I decided and I am going to Nebraska. I just want to play," Octavien said.

Octavien had this season cut short by a knee problem put together some very strong games to close out the season that capitalized a very good freshman year.

Octavien will be able to sign this week on Wednesday and can transfer to Nebraska at mid-term. He is expected to play outside linebacker next year along side Dontrel Moore who will also transfer to Nebraska from Junior College.
