Nebraska expecting unofficial visitor

It wasn't but two weeks ago and he hadn't heard from Nebraska and now he is headed there as part of a four day weekend. This will be his first time to Lincoln so what will he be looking for and interested in?

It's funny how things change so quickly, but John Kyed hadn't heard from Nebraska two weeks ago but he is now on his way to take in an unofficial visit there tomorrow. The 6-foot-6 and 280 pound lineman from Boulder (Colo.) is taking one of many trips coming in his future.

"We're heading down to our cabin then we're heading out to Nebraska. It's working out real slick," Kyed said.

"We got a letter from Nebraska last week and my dad hopped on-line and checked it out and everything. He told me that they have some pretty nice facilities out there. He and I said that we should head out there because I have a four day weekend and let's go out there."

"I said something to my coach and he knows Coach Bill Callahan at Nebraska and a couple of other guys out there at Nebraska. He got it all set up and we are going to go out there and check it out. I am psyched."

Despite being relatively close to Nebraska in Boulder, he has never visited Lincoln before and is pretty excited about the trip. "It is my first time in Lincoln, I have never been out there before. I am looking forward to seeing the facilities, seeing what the campus looks like, and meeting the coaches. I want to get an overall feel for everything."

"I have seen Colorado's campus and I have been to UCLA, Stanford and Colorado State."

Big Red Report will have the update for you of Kyed's trip later this weekend.
