For about a month, Woods was sitting on a scholarship offer from LSU but that was it. In the past three weeks, though, things have picked up quite a bit for the big man from the tiny town of Elton, La.
"About three weeks ago Nebraska sent me an offer and then the next week Clemson sent one, "Woods told Tiger Rag. "Then last week USC offered."
LSU is going to have some serious competition for Woods' signature because before it is all over with he will probably have more offers than he can recall.
It's early but Tiger Rag asked him to break down the schools that stand out in the A.J. Woods' sweepstakes.
LSU- "It felt like home when I went there last summer. It's close to home and I really like the coaching staff."
Miami- "They have a great tradition of winning and they always have a good defensive linemen."
Oklahoma- "Growing up, Oklahoma was my favorite football team. When I was little, I always wanted to go there."
USC- "They've got some good defensive linemen too and the two national championships don't hurt."
Tennessee- "They are doing real well right now and they had a great recruiting class last year."
