Fort Morgan Lineman Has Four Offers

Colorado has selected a few top-notch in-state players to extend early offers to. Three of them have gone to offensive/defensive lineman in Lamarr Houston Jr. (Doherty), Butch Lewis (Regis) and Seth Jensen. Jensen was an all-state defensive tackle as a junior and the Buffs are giving him the opportunity to shine on either side of the ball. CU is currently one of his top schools.

"I like all of the schools that have offered me; Iowa State, CU, Colorado State, and Nebraska," said Seth Jensen. "Iowa State just offered me and UCLA and Kansas State are requesting film, too."

Colorado is the only one of the four schools that has offered that see him as a future offensive player. "They like me as a tackle, but they said I could get a shot on defense, too. I love the defensive side of the ball and that is where I would prefer to play, but I will also do whatever is best for the team."

As a junior, he recorded 70 tackles, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery (returned for 20 yards). He finished second on his squad in tackles. "I have great strength and awareness. I never give up on a play. I am always pursuing and trying to make the tackle. I have good explosiveness out of my stance."

He is being recruited to CU by Coach Hankwitz. Jensen likes many of the same things about the in-state schools that have offered. "I have been to both Boulder and Fort Collins a couple of times. Boulder has a great field, weight room and I love the mountains. They both have great campuses and I really like Coach Barnett and Coach Lubick."

Jensen has a connection to CSU. "My Uncle lives in Fort Collins and my step-Grandpa was a professor there. Joel Dreesen is also from Fort Morgan so I have watched him play up there the last few years."

Jensen will be taking a trip to see Nebraska on April 15th and 16th.

He says that all of the schools are showing an equal amount of interest. "They all tell me the same thing - I'd be a great addition to their teams."

Jensen carries a 2.9 core GPA and is taking the ACT on April 9th. He would like to major in Massage Therapy, Sports Medicine, Psychology, or Sociology. He would like to minor in Business.
