Summers talks about current faves and visits

It had to be tough for anyone at Olive Branch (Miss.) to know how many teams actually came to evaluate their players. Four players for Olive Branch are holding division I offers so far. Anthony Summers updated us on his current recruiting status, gives us his leaders and who would be his five officials as of today.

School is out, but for some the work is just getting ready to begin. The 6-foot-3 and 200 pound Anthony Summers is enjoying his time right now, but is getting ready to get into the weight room and go to some camps.

"It feels great to be done," Summers said. "I am going to hit some camps and the weight room."

While one could stay busy enough in the weight room you can really complicate things with a lot of schools that would like to go to their camp. "I am looking to go to LSU, Florida, Nebraska, Alabama, Ole Miss and Mississippi State."

When Summers isn't on the camping trail he will be in the weight room with the goals in mind to get faster and stronger to help him see time both-ways this fall. "I will be trying to get more physical because hopefully I will be on both sides of the ball. Just trying to get bigger and faster."

Summer is a true athlete. He has great size and speed. While he is being looked at to play safety at the next level, ironically he doesn't play a lot of it at the high school level.

"I am being recruited as a safety by colleges. I will be playing cornerback and free safety. I am hoping to play wide receiver. As far as cornerback or safety, it doesn't make any difference to me which position I play. I've played wide receiver in the past a little bit."

Now, Olive Branch (Miss.) should be loaded this year. They have at least four players that have received division I offers. Besides Anthony, his brother Markeith Summers, Victor Thomas and Allen Walker have other offers. They should be loaded.

"We should be good! Our goal is state."

Anthony is nearing the double-digit offer number. From all of those offers he has singled out four schools as of right now.

"I have offers from Auburn, Florida, Nebraska, Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Illinois, Louisville, Georgia, and that is about it really. I have started to think about my favorites. They are LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Florida really."

While he is eyeing four schools as of right now he hasn't gone as far as to set up an official visit to any school. It has become a topic though that he has started to think about and has five schools in mind that he would set officials to if he had to today.

"No sir, I haven't set up any officials. I have been thinking about it. I think that I would officially visit Florida, Oklahoma, LSU, Auburn and Nebraska."

When it comes to picking out a school it is really a comfort factor for Summers as well as being able to see himself in their defense. "I am looking for a place where I can go and fit in on defense. I want to be a key part to their defense as well."

Nebraska has been on top of Summers from very early in the recruiting process and he also likes the coach that is recruiting him from Nebraska. "Coach Blake is recruiting me from Nebraska. He is cool. He's very cool to me. I like Nebraska's defense. He told me that their two safeties are seniors this year."
