About half an hour ago (5:00 P.M. CST), Menelik Holt and Josh Freeman, two of Nebraska's most highly-coveted prospects for this recruiting cycle made a phone call that will definitely be cause for celebration throughout the Cornhusker State this weekend. "We called Coach Jay Norvell on a three way and we both decided that we were going to do it today," said Holt.
Menelik said that he felt the process itself was wearing on him and he was ready to pull the trigger on the commit with his favorite school. "I was just tried of the recruiting process. I don't know if it was supposed to be fun or what, but I got tired of waiting around," he said.
Holt will be taking a couple of trips to other schools, but just for fun. "I might be going to Arizona for a passing league for my school and I might be going to Michigan just to visit some family," he said. Holt said that he is 100% committed to Nebraska.
As far as what he is looking forward to the most during his career, he said, "Probably my first game and going out there to see the fans and how crazy they get. Also to get on the field and see what a game's like there." The Husker Nation welcomes Menelik to the family and no doubt the coaches are all excited to see what he can do.
