Huskers still in running for Mike Gee?

His ability was obvious when you saw Mike Gee in San Antonio for the U.S. Army All-American combine. He is a 6-foot-2 and 240 pound dynamo of a defensive end. Just stacked. That is why so many have extended offers for Gee, but has he narrowed things down at all yet and is Nebraska a school that he is still considering?

Mike Gee looks the part. The defensive end from North Arlington (N.J.) Queen of Peace comes in 6-foot-2, but a solid 240 pounds. It's what he can do with those 240 pounds though that impresses you. He's a 4.7/40 kind of guy.

Gee is still waiting for school to get out to take his first unofficial of the summer. "We have one more week of school left," Gee said. "We have finals this week."

"I go to Virginia Tech this weekend. I have taken a few unofficials to this point. I took some in May and last year. I don't have any other unofficials planned as of right now. I am not going to go to any camps."

As of right now, Gee is up around 20 total offers. With finals around the corner, recruiting has been a little on the back-burner for Gee who is doing a lot of research with and confiding in his coach.

"I am up to about 20 offers so far. I have narrowed things down somewhat with my coach. We are still trying to figure things out. I haven't thought about my official visits yet. I don't even know where I would take my officials right now."

Gee doesn't have any of his list trimmed down to a select group, but he does know what he is looking for in a school. "I am looking at the academic support team. The football team is big. I am also looking at the life on campus and stuff like that."

Gee really isn't sure if Nebraska is still a school that he is considering right now. Gee does know that distance won't be a factor and he knows that he has a lot of thinking to do, but he has time.

"I am not sure. I need to sit down with my coaches and talk about it. I haven't talked to my coach in a couple of days. Distance isn't that big of factor. I have a lot of things to think about. I am not really sure."
