Mouton Discusses Officials

Being one of the top prospects at his position, let alone in the country, Jonas Mouton is certainly getting plenty of affection from schools with a need for his talents. One such school aching for his help is the University of Nebraska. Mouton spoke with us about his thoughts on the Cornhuskers, his plans for the future and where he will be traveling to officially as of now.

Jonas Mouton is all about taking the recruiting process slow and seeing what there is to see.  Holding approximately 20 offers, the hard-hitting defensive back prospect out of Los Angeles isn't tipping his hand at all.  "I'm going to give out a top five to everybody a couple weeks into school.  Right now, I'm just still checking things out," he said.

With no more summertime activities planned such as camps, combines or unofficial visits, Mouton has time to focus on his senior season and start thinking about official visits.  Right now, he has two lined up.  "I'll be at Nebraska's first game (versus Maine) and at Michigan's game against Notre Dame," he said.

Mouton still remains secretive about just who out of those 20 offers actually has a shot and aside from the two teams he's visiting officially, speculation abounds.  Mouton makes things clear, however, that he is going to be 100% certain of the teams he chooses to be in the final cut and at that point, let the scrutinizing begin.
