A Case Of Mistaken Identity?

In the West Coast Offense, it never hurts to have a receiver who can do some damage with his speed along with having the physicality to battle smaller defensive backs for a pass. Florida's Latarrius Thomas is one such individual who could provide that for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. We caught up with Thomas to get his thoughts on the recruiting process to date.

Latarrius Thomas offers his eventual collegiate choice a very solid get in terms of what a receiver can do.  While not having blazing 4.4 speed, Thomas is fairly quick and has an excellent physical receiving game making him ideal for those fights for the ball.  The New Smyrna Beach native reports no new offers and his total offers extended are from Florida, Miami, Tennessee, South Carolina, Louisville, West Virginia, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Temple, Nebraska and Michigan State.

There was actually a mix up with a few colleges concerning Thomas due to them getting a different transcript causing a few schools to back off on him, but that issue has been resolved.  Thomas has quite the road to travel ahead.  "I'm going to go to Florida on the 22nd to do a camp.  I'm going to go to Tennessee, Clemson, South Carolina and Georgia and Miami on unofficial visits," he said.

Latarrius has no official visits set up yet but said he is currently leaning towards Louisville, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, West Virginia and Miami (FL) for possible locations.  Nebraska fans might read all that to think they are out of the race for Thomas, but that's not the case at all.  Nebraska was one of the schools who may have received the incorrect transcript and said Thomas on the prospect of seeing Coach Randy Jordan or another Nebraska representative, "It's never too late.  I would be interested and I'd listen."
