Kelvin Sheppard Chimes In On Big Red

Nothing helps a defense hum along smoothly line a linebacker who can make things happen all over the field and such an athlete has definite interest in Nebraska. Georgia's Kelvin Sheppard sat down with us and talked about unofficial visits, his thoughts on the Cornhuskers and how he felt about a Nebraska official visit.

Kelvin Sheppard is just the type of athlete that Nebraska is looking for to help continue its long-standing tradition of powerful linebackers who can do some serious damage.  The Stone Mountain, Georgia product recently picked up offers from Illinois and Georgia which brings his total offers up to 15 with the likes of Tennessee, LSU, Southern Miss, Louisville, Kentucky, Nebraska, Maryland, Ball State, Virginia Tech, Illinois and Tulane in the mix.

Sheppard is currently headed down to LSU for an unofficial visit and on the way he plans to visit Tulane as well.  A trip to Florida is also likely at this point.  While Sheppard has no official visits set in stone yet, he does have an idea of where he'd like to go.  "I'll probably (decide between) Tennessee, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Nebraska and Maryland," he said.

Kelvin reports that all is well thus far in his relationship with the Cornhuskers.  "Coach Jordan keeps in touch with me just about every day and things are going well," he said.
