Oklahoma Athlete Setting Up Officials

As the recruiting trail continues and Nebraska works every so diligently to fill this class with solid athletes to add to the secondary, Laron Moore has been taking some time to focus on his upcoming senior campaign. We were able to catch up with Moore and get his thoughts on the Cornhuskers along with official visits he may be taking.

Laron Moore provides a very interesting prospect to observe during this recruiting cycle as he will be switching from a QB/WR high school player to a projected WR/CB prospect in college.  Theoretically, he could go from throwing and catching touchdowns to catching and preventing them.  Laron boasts around 13 offers from the likes of Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Colorado State, Iowa State, Kansas, Tulsa, TCU and Nebraska.

Moore reports that he will be making a trip to LSU this Sunday and then he will be finished with the summer recruiting trail and start focusing on the season entirely.  He already has an official visit lined up with Stanford and will be working towards one with Notre Dame.  Other schools tabbed for the final spots are Nebraska, LSU and a school to yet be named.

In terms of favorites, Moore has none, but is looking forward to two visits in particular.  "Right now everybody's got the same shot but there's two (Notre Dame and Stanford) of them that I really want to visit because I couldn't make it there in the summer.  All of the programs that have offered me all have open spots for me to play at and I pretty much like all of them," he said.

When asked about the Cornhuskers and their contact with him, Moore said, "I heard from them a lot when they could contact me but I've been so busy working I haven't been able to talk to coaches but I'm just taking a break because I know it's going to fire back up," he said.  Moore anticipates hearing from the Cornhuskers again before too long.
