Nomani ready to get it on

Attitude. That's what it sometimes comes down to. Mau Nomani has it. It's about dominating the person across the line from him. It's about storing up the anger of losing a game last season and wanting another chance to play that team again. Nomani is up to four offers including an offer from Nebraska. What will his decision come down to?

At 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds he isn't the biggest of offensive tackles, but Mau Nomani knows how to use what he has. The tackle from Tigard (Ore.) is having a good summer and is eyeing the start of practice.

"They're going pretty good," Nomani said. "We just got done with camp. That was our team camp it's just at our high school. We start practice in two weeks."

Nomani is still only up to four offers with the last coming from the second in-state school. "I haven't picked up any new offers lately. The last to offer was Oregon State. I still have offers from BYU, Oregon and Nebraska."

While Nomani has four offers he still only had one official set up so far. He will be in for an early game in Lincoln. "I have one official set up to Nebraska in September for the tenth. I set that up a week before school got out."

When it comes to impressing Nomani he needs to know that he fits well with the coaching staff. Beyond that it will be comfort of the school overall and what types of opportunities with his major.

"First of all probably the chemistry with the coaches. The environment of the school. Also their graphic design major and classes."

While he still only has the one official visit to Nebraska set it seems that there is another that just needs to be formally set up. He is possibly looking at saving his official visits for other out of state schools as well.

"I am going to set one up for BYU on January 6. I'll take that one. I'll probably just take unofficial visits to the in-state schools."

Nomani has been ready for this season basically since last season. There is a revenge factor for Nomani and his teammates the very first game of the year.

"I am ready for the season. I have been ready. I want to get it on. Our first game is our biggest probably. They are a really good team and they got us last year. It's payback."
