California JUCO Updates Big Red Recruitment

When you play the role of a passing quarterback, it always helps to have a good idea of what the defensive backs might be thinking and vice versa should you find yourself in the defensive secondary. California JUCO Prospect Ashley Palmer could find himself in such a situation come Signing Day as he sat down with us and discussed his future collegiate decisions.

Either way you look at it, Ashley Palmer is an athletic specimen.  Standing 6'2" and weighing in at 210 pounds, Palmer reports a blazing 4.4 40 yard dash, so while it'd be fun to stick him in the offensive backfield and see what he can do, if Nebraska gets their hands on him, his future may very well be at the safety position.

Palmer reports no new offers with a total nearing 10 from the likes of Nebraska, Mississippi, Oregon State and Washington.  Ashley said that his number one concern this upcoming season will simply be to put himself in position to make plays and win ballgames however he can.

Currently, Ashley has no official visits set up but plans to make trips to Nebraska, Arizona State, Mississippi and Washington.  Palmer seems somewhat flattered by the attention that Nebraska has been giving him noting that the Cornhuskers have been recruiting him since he was a prep prospect.  "Nebraska's been recruiting me out of high school and they came back and started recruiting me again.  They really show me a lot of love and interest," he said.

When looking at a possible commitment decision from Palmer, he reports that he'll probably take care of this upcoming season at Compton before pulling the trigger. Whomever the lucky school is that inherits his services will be getting quite the athlete regardless of which way he's looking down the field.
