Scott Krehbiel came home one evening recently in a fairly down-trodden mood. It was one of those days that just wasn't going his way. That is, until he opened the mailbox and a written offer to play football for the University of Nebraska was waiting for him. "It was fantastic," he said. "I felt like ‘wow, this day just got a heck of a lot better." Nebraska's offer brings Krehbiel's total offer count to five along with Colorado State, Kansas, Kansas State and Arkansas.
He has taken time to manage a few official visits the past couple of weeks visiting Manhattan after Sonny Lubick and the Colorado State Rams. "I went to K-State last Friday. I had a good time there. I liked the atmosphere. I was at Colorado State the weekend before last and it was unbelievable. I got to catch their afternoon practice," he said. Krehbiel said that he plans to visit both schools again officially at some point in the future.
In terms of what Scott is looking to improve on during the upcoming season, he simply wants to be in the game and improve on working play to play. "It's about staying healthy and finishing off my blocks better," he said.
Many Cornhusker fans are probably wondering if the initial buzz wore off after a period of time regarding Nebraska's offer. That doesn't appear to be the case with Scott. "I'm very interested in Nebraska, I always have been and I've always liked them. I really would like the opportunity of being one of the guys that helped turn around Nebraska. That would be an honor to even be a part of that," he said.
