Evan Royster took it upon himself to make an interesting pair of unofficial visits recently. The three-star rated runningback prospect from Chantilly, VA spent his own dime to travel to Big XII rivals Nebraska and Oklahoma. Said Royster of the Sooner capitol, "Right when I got there I could tell it was a football town. I really liked that how the whole town supports the team. The facilities were real nice, also," he said. Royster enjoyed the trip so much he made an official visit with the Sooners for their opening weekend game against TCU (9/3)
Royster also had complimentary things to say about the home of the Cornhuskers. "Both places were pretty much really nice I like how Lincoln was nice like a city and there was a lot going on," he said. "I really like their coaches. They're really nice people when I got to meet them and I am considering them. The team is definitely in the running for an official visit," he said. Rosyter is also considering visits to Alabama and either Florida, Florida State or Miami (FL).
He currently lists 12 offers including Oklahoma, Nebraska, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Penn State and Washington. He claims no favorites at this time. Royster said that during his upcoming senior season, he just wants to perform better. "I just will be trying to get more elusive on the field and become a better athlete overall," he said.
