Missouri Prospect Clayborn Weighs His Options

Four star defensive end prospect Adrian Clayborn offers quite a bit or at least the schools recruiting him seem to think so. It appears that not only are schools looking at the recruit for defensive end, but at other positions as well. Find out where he could end up in college along with his current Top 5 and where he stands with Nebraska.

Adrian Clayborn is one of those types that are recruited for a number of different positions.  Most take a look at him and say defensive end.  Most schools do, not all.  "Missouri and Nebraska both think I could play linebacker.  I'd prefer to play defensive end, though.  I think that it fits me better, I'm fast and could probably contribute immediately at defensive end but I'd have to work at linebacker a bit," he said.

Clayborn has not scheduled any official visits but lists his top five as Missouri, Nebraska, Illinois, Texas Tech and Michigan State with no school having an edge.  He currently possesses five other offers from the likes of Colorado and Kansas State, but feels they've been edged out.

In terms of his relationship with Nebraska, Adrian stated, "Communication hasn't been there that much but I called Coach (Kevin) Cosgrove last night and he wasn't around but I'll call tonight," he said.  Adrian also stated that he looks forward to get a chance to visit Nebraska during an official trip and will do so when his team gets a bye week that coincides with a Nebraska football game.
