Missouri Prospect Hears Big Red Call

St. Louis, Missouri prospect Antonio Gully is starting to narrow down his choices as far as official visits go and as his senior season draws closer, he's getting an idea of where he wants to be both on a collegiate level and athletically. Gully shared with us his experiences with Nebraska thus far and how the relationship has been.

Antonio Gully out of Cardinal Ritter College Prep High is in position to turn some heads this season for his squad.  Currently holding 10 offers, the wide receiver and cornerback prospect wants to increase both his leg strength and speed which is saying quite a bit considering that Gully already reports a 4.4 40 yard dash.  He's aching to break into the 4.3 category.

He notes that most schools are recruiting him as a defensive back, but the University of Houston has looks for Gully as a wide receiver.  He has no official visits scheduled, but currently would like to get out to see Illinois.  The Fighting Illini are one of his favorite schools along with Wisconsin and Nebraska.

When it comes to his relationship with Nebraska, communication has been down at some points, but Gully is still encouraged.  "I haven't really talked to them as much as I would like.  I'm still very interested, though.  I would love to get up and see them play," he said.  Defensive Coordinator Kevin Cosgrove is Antonio's primary recruiter and has impressed Gully with his attitude and knowledge of the game.  "He's really down to earth, easy to talk to and he knows his stuff," he said.
