Huskers expecting another visitor this weekend

The Huskers are wise to be bringing in top defensive talent this weekend. Their defense has been nothing short of stellar so far this year and they could be up for another good weekend. Nebraska is looking to host one of the top linebacker/defensive end prospects in the nation.

Adrian Clayborn, 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, will be getting on a plane Friday morning bound for his first official. The four-star, tenth best defensive end in the nation is looking forward to this trip.

"I am going down to Nebraska this week," Clayborn said. "This is my first official. I am going to Texas Tech on October 1."

Although this will be Clayborn's first official it won't be totally baseless. He has seen some other campuses this year. "I went to Illinois this summer and been to Missouri a couple of times. This is just my first trip this fall."

What Clayborn is really looking forward to seeing will have to wait until the walk on Saturday morning for the players and in the stadium. He has heard about the fans in Lincoln and also wants to meet and talk to the coaches.

"Just the crowd and seeing what that is like. Getting to talk to Coach Bill Callahan and see what that is like. I have spoke to Coach Cosgrove and Callahan before."

Although Nebraska was on pay per view once and nationally televised last week, Clayborn has been unable to catch a game and for good reason. He isn't going into Lincoln though without some information about the current Blackshirt defense.

"I haven't had a chance to watch Nebraska this year. We had a game last Saturday so I didn't get to watch. I heard about it though and how their defense has looked. Coach Cosgrove has told me."

Clayborn is a nationally rated defensive end, but at Nebraska he is getting a primary look to play another position and then double as a pass-rushing defensive end. "Coach Cosgrove wants me to come up and play middle linebacker and on passing downs help rush the quarterback from the end position. That is what I do in high school right now."

When it comes to playing linebacker, defensive end and just defense all together Clayborn likes to deliver the hit. Deliver the pain. "I just like hitting people. Knocking their heads off."
