Yeatman comments on Nebraska visit

Nebraska had a heck of a game Saturday afternoon to host some recruits. They opened their conference play with a win over Iowa State and one of the loudest crowds in recent memory. Will Yeatman was in the stands this weekend and had some positive things to say about the trip.

Will Yeatman liked Nebraska so much that he isn't sure if he's going back to California. Not by choice, but the 6-foot-5 and 240 pound Yeatman from Poway (Calif.) Rancho Bernardo is stuck in Lincoln.

"I am actually still in the airport because my flight go delayed," Yeatman said. "I am flying into Denver then to San Diego."

Besides some troubles with his flight home, which he wasn't all that upset about, he had a great experience this weekend. "It went well. It was a pretty nice environment for the game. You couldn't have asked for much of a better game than that."

One of the things special about this weekend was an overtime period that supposedly was deafeningly loud. "It was crazy in overtime. It was really loud."

Overall, Yeatman liked the people with the staff and the players. "I liked all of the coaches, I like all of the players, and it was a lot of fun."

This is not Yeatman's first visit. He saw some similarities between the two schools that he has visited so far.

"I went to Notre Dame. I think that they are very similar. It was really their history and the rich tradition that both of the schools have. It's going to be a tough decision."

Yeatman is also a Lacrosse player and was given the opportunity to play Lacrosse at Nebraska if it is legal by NCAA guidelines. Yeatman said it probably isn't though.

"Coach Bill Callahan said that I could, but I am not sure if I would. I don't think that it's allowed. I don't think that you can play a NCAA sport and an intramural sport in the same year."

Since Yeatman had a visit to compare Nebraska too, how would he rate Notre Dame and Nebraska on a scale of 1-10? "I really enjoyed the visit to Notre Dame. I would probably rate them about an "8". The Nebraska visit was probably about a "7.5"."

Could the higher rating of Notre Dame's visit be some insight into who he is favoring right now? "I guess it could a little bit. It's not a for sure deal though. I still have to take a few more visits. I am not sure where I am going to take those visits though."

There were three other official visitors that Yeatman was with this weekend. He said that the three of them all got along real well and that his host showed him a good time.

"I met Terrell Reese, Greg Davis, and Jordan McMichael. We had a good weekend together. I was hosted by Brian Wilson from Los Angeles. We had fun last night. It was cool to hang out with the other players and everything."
