Davis gets back from Nebraska

Nebraska was able to bring in one of the top safeties in the nation this past weekend and he got back late last night. Head Coach at Dyke (Virg.) Blue Ridge, Mike Alley, was there to pick up Greg Davis and we caught up with Coach Alley this morning.

It seems that the consensus is that all of the official visitors had a great visit this weekend at Nebraska. Head Coach Mike Alley at Dyke (Virg.) Blue Ridge picked up Greg Davis last night at the airport.

"I know that he had a great time," Coach Mike Alley said. "He was on Cloud Nine last night, but what kid wouldn't be after visiting Nebraska?"

Coach Alley got the indication that Davis had a good trip by some of the things that Davis said about the game and in particular what happened at the game.

"The fans were screaming his name and people knew who he was. He was a little "ga-ga" about that."

The emotion of the game and being known by the fans might have been distracting to some visitors that could then forget about looking at other key parts of the visit. Coach Alley said that Davis was thorough.

"He got a real good tour of the school and campus. He spoke about the academics there so it sounds like he had a clear head."

Big Red Report will be bringing you the first-hand comments by Davis himself later. Stay tuned for the latest in Husker news!
