Paulo looking forward to big weekend

Nebraska has been looking more closely at the high school in the Las Vegas area. One of the prospects that Nebraska found very early in the recruiting process this year was Ronnie Paulo. Paulo was a virtual unknown to the recruiting world, but since then has picked up additional offers and has had a tremendous senior year this far.

Ronnie Paulo picked up his first offerfrom Nebraska in April. The 6-foot-2 and 215 pound linebacker from Las Vegas (Nev.) Western was set to take an official to Nebraska, but it seems things have changed.

"No, I moved that visit to January," Paulo said. "Coach Blake thought it would be better to come out in January to spend some more time with me. It was his decision."

The month of January looks to be a busy one for Paulo who has already set up another official visit in January.

"I actually set up on in January for Utah too. Both the visits are during my winter-break. I think I am going to Nebraska the first Saturday after New Year's."

Western High School is off to a tremendous start. They are set to battle a traditional powerhouse in Las Vegas tomorrow night. "We're good, we're 8-0. We play Bishop Gorman tomorrow for the division title."

When it comes to playing Bishop Gorman Paulo didn't have to search too hard for what he is looking forward to in a game like that. "Shutting down (DeMarco) Murray. It should be fun."

Paulo is having a great season averaging nearly 15 tackles per contest and almost six tackles per game are for a loss. "I have 118 tackles, two sacks and one interception. I think that 45 of those tackles are for loss."
