Husker commit getting in home with KSU

The rumors are flying. Since Kansas State has come in and hired a new coach there is no telling who is safe and who is not when it comes to recruiting. One of the first targets the Kansas State staff was on was a quarterback from up the road, Josh Freeman. Could Kansas State sway Freeman?

It may be coincidence or geography that the new Kansas State staff is calling Nebraska commit Josh Freeman who is from Grandview (Mo.). The question is now, will Nebraska's number one quarterback target listen?

"Yeah, they have called me a little bit," Freeman said. "We haven't talked about anything really. They are telling me about their new coaching staff and want to give me a quick look."

Is there a chance that this late in the process and a change in Manhattan could get Freeman to reconsider his commitment to Nebraska? "No, not really. I think that they are coming in on Tuesday night for an in-home, but I really doubt that I end up at Kansas State."

There have been some others that have speculated on what Freeman's status is with Nebraska. Has he already signed up for classes? The process is in motion. "I'm not enrolled at Nebraska. We have gone through and talked to the academic people and there is a tentative schedule out, but we haven't enrolled yet. I will be there at mid-term. I haven't signed up for classes."

Josh Freeman was recently named to the U.S. Army All-American game. The game itself was a goal of his to make and he is looking forward to the opportunity. "I was excited. It's going to be awesome. It'll be a great experience."
