Deas weighs in on official to Nebraska

While Nebraska is very limited on the number of official visits and spots that they still have open it doesn't mean that they won't be bringing in top talent. The Huskers are still after a monster in Florida who is coming off a very big "Coming-out" game in the Cali-Florida Bowl.

There were many rumors floating around about some of the players' performances in the Cali-Florida Bowl. For the whole week you kept hearing that Charles Deas looked unstoppable. What did he think about his performance?

"Yeah, I guess that I was unstoppable," Deas said. "The trip and the game were a great experience for me. I didn't really get caught up in it at all."

The Cali-Florida Bowl was the first game that Deas had played this year in an effort to get caught up on his academics. Despite being off for a year and a half he performed at the highest level and feels like he performed well.

"This was my first game of the year. I think being off the whole year that I still performed well against the top talent from both states."

Now that the bowl game is over Deas is ready to start taking some official visits. The 6-foot-4 and 325 pound defensive tackle from Lauderdale Lakes (Flor.) Boyd H. Anderson is going north for his first official.

"I have some officials coming up. I go to Nebraska this weekend. I don't know who my other official visits are to right now."

When it comes to seeing Nebraska on the official he is looking for some specific things. Beyond that though, he is looking to really get to know the person he has bonded with through the recruiting process and his possible, future position coach.

"I want to see what it is like up there and see how the team is like a family. I have become pretty close with Coach John Blake and he is one of the biggest reasons I am going to see Nebraska."
