Trying To Move On

At any age it doesn't get any easier losing a family member. It has to be especially difficult at holiday time when you are all supposed to be together. For Williams it delayed a decision that he was planning on sitting down and talking with family over the holidays.

Keith Williams wished that the circumstances could have been different this Christmas. The 6-foot-6 and 305 pound lineman from Florissant (Mo.) McCluer North lost a family member this past Holiday season.

"It went alright I guess," Williams said. "My grandmother passed away."

Despite being in a popular time to talk and think about college recruiting it all stopped. He admitted that slowly he is easing back into the process. "I am just now getting back into it. I was taking a little time off. Just now getting back into it."

The calls are coming and the letters are still coming. He will be ready to take his fourth official next weekend. He admits that he may or may not take that visit though. "Michigan State is next weekend. I have taken visits to Indiana, Minnesota and Nebraska."

"I wasn't so sure about the Michigan State visit, but since it's set up. If I don't go to Michigan State I will have my decision by that weekend or I will have my decision that following week after the visit. I will call a press conference at the school."

There hasn't been a lot of thought given to his leader board. He will reach a decision soon though. "I don't really have a leader. I planned on, over the break instead of burying somebody, actually having this all ready to go by the first of the year. I didn't get a chance to do that."
