"He played in the All-American bowl in Shreveport this weekend," Linda Fehoko said. "He drew a lot of interest from LSU and Nebraska down there. They both offered. Bowling Green, Arkansas State and Tulane also offered. Oklahoma called this past week and said they were interested."
Whitley had committed earlier to Utah among some other offers that he was holding. While Fehoko might be getting popular it's a long time coming from the bard work that he has been putting in.
Besides how the game and the trip went there will be discussions about other official visits. Will Nebraska get one of his visits?
"When he comes home we are going to talk about taking that official to Nebraska. It's the Cornhuskers. We are very close friends with Toniou Fonoti and Dominic Railoa. They are very close to our family. Those are the people that we know."
All of these schools are so far away from where the rest of his family will be. How does that affect his mother?
"Basically his dad, brother and I will always support whatever decision he chooses. Our thoughts are to think about it and see what really fits. There is the academic requirement that we want to look at when it comes to trimming the schools."
