Wilson is solid to Nebraska

He was a commit. He's not a commit. He's taking a visit or two. Now it's final and Kenny Wilson is not taking any more trips and he is solid to Nebraska. Wilson is widely considered one of the top junior college running backs in the nation and is a great addition to the 2006 class for Nebraska.

Kenny Wilson is a Husker, finally and officially. This week was really a time for Wilson, his coaches and his mom to put things together and pull the trigger on a commit to Nebraska. The 6-foot-0 and 215 pound Wilson is going to Nebraska.

"It was pretty much this week for Wilson to finalize things," Coach Flores said. "It all ended yesterday. He cancelled the visit to Florida and he is going to Nebraska. He made the commitment."

Nebraska was relentless in their pursuit to get Wilson, per Coach Flores, and didn't just go to see him individually, but also went to see his family. "Nebraska had been down to see him quite a bit and also have been out to see his mom. All the different coaches came down here. They did a really good job recruiting him."

Distance might have had something to do with the decision, but per Coach Flores it was really about the fit and the comfort of knowing that some other former Butler players are already there.

"I think the fit at Nebraska was going to be a good one for him with Zac Taylor, Frantz Hardy and Justin Tomerlin all already being there. Those things obviously helped the cause."
