Nebraska: 54 Kansas: 96

Sophomore center Aleks Maric scored 12 points and added eight rebounds in Nebraska's 96-54 loss at Kansas on Saturday. The setback - NU's first Big 12 road loss this season - dropped the Huskers' record to 12-5 overall and 2-2 in league play.

Freshman guard Jamel White added 10 points for Nebraska. Brandon Rush and Jeff Hawkins led five Jayhawks in double-figures with 17 points each.

Nebraska ran into a hot-shooting Jayhawk squad focused on snapping a two-game losing streak. KU (11-6, 2-2) shot a blistering 72 percent (21-of-29) in the first half, the highest shooting percentage in a half of any Big 12 game in school history. The Jayhawks finished the game 37-of-62 from the field while becoming just the second team to score 80 or more points against the Huskers this season.

NU remained close early, before a 16-0 KU run turned a 20-15 lead into a commanding 21-point lead.

Nebraska returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 25 when the Huskers travel to Boulder, Colo., for an 8 p.m. tip with the Colorado Buffaloes.
