Nebraska (12-7, 2-4 Big 12) trailed by 22 with 5:09 remaining in the game before the Huskers used a 14-3 run to rally and pull within nine at 65-54 with 2:42 left. Dourisseau sparked the Nebraska run, scoring eight points in a 2:06 stretch. NU would get no closer, however, and CU closed the game on a 12-0 run as the Buffaloes (14-3, 4-2) raced to their fourth straight win.
The Huskers opened the game with strong defense, holding Colorado scoreless for the first 4:48 of the contest until Roby connected on a jumper to put CU on the scoreboard. NU then went into a shooting funk of its own, going scoreless over a 5:51 stretch before a Wilkinson layup ended the drought with 9:00 left in the first half. Despite the drought, Nebraska trailed just 9-7 after Wilkinson's bucket.
Freshman guard Jamel White pulled Nebraska within 24-19 with just under three minutes remaining in the first half, but a Roby 3-pointer with eight seconds remaining extended the Buffaloes' lead to eight at the break.
A free throw from junior Charles Richardson Jr. cut the lead to 31-26 early in the second half before Colorado exploded for a 13-0 run to take a commanding 44-26 lead. The Buffaloes never looked back after the run, despite the Huskers' 40-point offensive output in the second half.
Nebraska returns home to take on Missouri on Saturday at the Devaney Center at 3 p.m. in a game televised by ESPN+, the first of three straight NU games televised as part of the Big 12 package. The Nebraska football team will be recognized at halftime of the contest.
