Bill Callahan statement on Justin Tomerlin
"We are aware of the situation involving Justin Tomerlin. This is an unfortunate incident for this young man. This is a situation we certainly do not condone as a football program and one that we will continue to monitor. We have regular Life Skills seminars with our football team, with one of the primary focuses of those seminars being the effects of alcohol. We have regularly educated our players on decisions, choices and consequences of alcohol in their personal life. As a member of the Nebraska football team each player has a responsibility to themselves, their family, the university, and the community. We will make sure that Justin takes the necessary steps to deal with the issue."
