Huskers Add Baseball Game against UNK

Nebraska Baseball Coach Mike Anderson announced Tuesday that the Huskers have added a single game against Nebraska-Kearney on Wednesday, April 19. First pitch between the Huskers and Lopers is set for 1:05 p.m.

The addition was necessitated because of the inclement weather that forced four cancellations last month. This will be the first time that the Huskers and Lopers have played since the 2003 season.

Nebraska Baseball season-ticket holders can use their tickets from any of the previous cancellations (March 18-19 vs. South Dakota State; March 21-22 vs. Western Illinois or March 24 vs. Kansas) for admission to the April 19 contest.

General admission tickets for the game are $7 (adults) and $5 (seniors and youths) and can be purchased by calling the Nebraska Ticket Office at (800) 8-BIGRED or by visiting Huskers.com.

Nebraska-Kearney will be playing two games in Lincoln, as the Lopers had an originally scheduled game against Hastings College on April 18, at 12:30 p.m. at Hawks Field. There is free admission to the Hastings-UNK game, although the ballpark will be cleared following the game, as Nebraska hosts Creighton at Hawks Field at 6:30 p.m.
