Chris LeFlore DB/WR - Omaha, NE. (Central)

Chris LeFlore - Omaha, NE (Central) 6-1, 185, 4.35(40) - If you are a Nebraska fan, this name means something to you. His brother (Mark) plays for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. If you aren't, Chris's name will still probably end up with some meaning as he could be one of the top athletes to come out of the Husker state this year.

Playing predominately at the quarterback position last season, Chris's new position of Cornerback will come as an adjustment, but it's one that he thinks he will not only get used to, but improve on in comparison. "I think I am a better receiver and on defense than I was a quarterback," Chris stated. "Last year, I didn't really focus on it, but now that I have, it's came a lot easier to me."

Like his brother, Chris has wowed competitors and scouts with his athleticism. His size only lends more to the substance he will be able to offer to any team at the next level. His desired position is at the cornerback spot, but don't be surprised if he is recruited as either a safety or wide receiver. This kid has the wheels to play both sides with equal effectiveness.

Of the teams that are looking at LeFlore the most, Nebraska falls in there along with Iowa State and Colorado. Chris said that NU and Iowa State stand "neck and neck", but he won't be making any real concrete decisions any time soon and in point of fact, it wont' be him making that final statement at all. "Coach Mac is going to tell everyone for me when I decide on where I go and he is the one that really keeps track of who has offered me and all that."

As it is, Chris will be one of the hottest local prospects this season as he tries to help Omaha Central to another good season and maybe this year, a victory over rival, Omaha Creighton Prep. "I just want to beat them. While I am part of the team and on varsity, I just want us to win against them before I graduate."

By the way, Chris's profile is now in the database, but I have to get it loaded and broadcasted. Will be up shortly though or no later than tomorrow night.
