Radovich has a leader

He's rated high, he's recruited a lot and he still has a season to go. Drew Radovich still has a season of football to play, but he's going to have some company. Most of the Pac Ten plus some biggies in the mid west will be watching this California stud as he is one of the most highly touted linemen in the country.

Drew Radovich Profile

Drew Radovich - 6-5, 285, 5.1/40 - Mission Viejo, California - The insiders lists Drew as the third best offensive linemen in the country. They also list him as the 11th best player overall and he's considered to be the best of the best in the western region. Ok, so he's good, but what else?

He's added weight and as he says, "it's all muscle". From 275 to his current weight, it didn't effect his 40. Ok, anything else? Let's add the all important factor of what teams Mr. Radovich is looking at. Lord knows, they are certainly looking at him as Drew has offers from almost every Pac 10 school, not to mention Colorado and Fresno State. Of those teams, Drew is looking at Washington, UCLA, USC, Nebraska, Colorado and Miami. And, among those, Drew said that Washington was his early leader. "I really got along with coach Myers (the line coach)", Drew said. "He's a real cool guy and when I first met him, I was really impressed with how easy it was to talk to him."

Initial impression aside, it wasn't just his relationship with the Washington coach that put the Huskies where they are now on his list, but it will be that relationship that will decide how each of those schools he visits in the future stack up on his list of favorites. "That's one of my main factors in deciding where I want to go, how I get along with the coach."

For the unofficial visits that Drew has made, Arizona stands as the only one, but he's planning on a visit to USC in the near future. As for the officials, Washington is the obvious first choice and to that, Drew says that right now he would "probably" be visiting USC, UCLA, possibly Arizona and possibly Nebraska as well.

At this time, Drew has offers from all of the Pac Ten except for Stanford and UCLA and also has offers from San Diego State, Colorado and UTEP.

Radovich is indeed impressed with Washington, but he made it fairly clear that he is going to complete the recruiting process and see how he feels in the end. "I want to go through the whole thing, because you don't know what could happen."
