NU Recruit, LB, Demario Pleasant

As outside linebackers go, Pleasant's measurables are almost ideal. 6'3", 210 lbs. with a 4.5/40. His athleticism has him ranked as one of the top defensive recruits coming out of the state of Louisiana. This year, Pleasant takes a strong junior year and takes that into his final year, looking to make a statement.

Demario Pleasant Profile

Demario Pleasant - LB - 6-3, 220, 4.49/40 - Lewisville, TX. - With 24 reported offers on the table, you could just as easily call them wallpaper, there's so many. Popularity like that doesn't come for no reason, but Pleasant's prior year's totals of 98 tackles, 6 sacks and 4 interceptions rationalizes the interest and then some. This year, it's all looking good for one of the Lonestar state's best linebackers to even get better.

The intensity of attention has been fierce for this Texas linebacker, but not overwhelming. Demario has managed to keep all the calls and mail in perspective and isn't letting the pressure of choosing or at the very least, narrowing his choices, get to him. "I really haven't looked at all really." Pleasant stated. "I just want to concentrate on my season first."

No doubt, his present team comes before any probable future team, but the offers keep coming in. Most of the schools in the Big XII have offered Demario along with schools from the Pac Ten, SEC and the Big East. It's not about who has interest in him, but who he is interested, why people read these updates. However, Demario just doesn't know.

As you can imagine, his officials will be taken after the season is done and though Demario didn't plan on waiting until signing day to make his decision, if the process takes him to that point, so be it. Right now, the Demario is the 35th ranked linebacker in the country.
