Nebraska Basketball Tickets go on Sale

Husker fans can start looking ahead to Coach Doc Sadler's debut on the Nebraska bench as the NU athletic department announced that the ticket office will start taking requests for new season tickets on-line at on Saturday, Aug. 19.

Season tickets give fans a great savings compared to purchasing single-game tickets to Nebraska men's basketball games. C-level padded season tickets will cost $234, a savings of $131 over purchasing single-game tickets. Also in the C-level, plastic chairback season tickets will run $180, making the savings $99. The upper bench season tickets ($108) will save fans $101 compared to buying single-game tickets.

Ticket prices in the C-level went down on average this year. Plastic chairbacks will average $14 per game as part of a season ticket, down from $14.24 per contest last year, while the per game price for an upper bench season ticket went down from $6.14 to $6 per game this season. C-level plastic chairback season tickets stayed nearly the same as the price went up a nickel, from $9.95 to $10 per game.

Season ticket renewals for current ticket holders were sent out Friday, Aug. 18, and will be accepted through Sept. 7. The first area allocated to new ticket holders following the renewal process will be the C-level padded chairbacks, followed by the C-level plastic and upper benches.

A $25 refundable deposit will be required at the time of each season ticket request. Once renewals are completed, new season ticket requests placed with the ticket office will be processed. Requests will be filled first based on the Nebraska donor priority point system, and then on a first-come, first-served basis, so plan to get your tickets today. Fans will have four days to decline their seat assignment, and full payment will be secured following the grace period.

Season ticket holders will have the benefit of knowing they have a seat for all 18 Husker home games (regular season and exhibtion) in Sadler's first season in Lincoln. Included in the package are 16 regular-season contests, including home matchups with Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa State, Texas A&M, Texas and Oklahoma State. Nebraska will fill two open home game dates to complete its non-conference schedule later this month, but already has Creighton and Western Kentucky slated for action at the Devaney Center.

Nebraska basketball season tickets will provide families a great entertainment value cosidering Sadler's proposed style of play, and make a great back-to-school gift or present for any occasion.
