Wright changes plans with Nebraska

Last night Big Red Report spoke to Anthony Wright. It was planned then that Wright would be taking an official to Nebraska this coming weekend. It's weird how quickly things change. The visit that was for this weekend has slid out on the date. What happened with Wright's visit plans and what weekend has he rescheduled for?

One of the top athletes on the west coast, Anthony Wright, was all set last night to pack his bags for this weekend and come in to Lincoln for an official. That was last night and this is tonight. Funny how things change so quickly.

"I just spoke to Nebraska this afternoon," Wright said. "They said that they wanted to change it to next week. They wante me to come in for a Big 12 game."

"It's the Big 12 opener next weekend against Kansas. They changed it. It's cool to me. At first they asked if it was OK to change it and I told them it was cool."

Wright and Nebraska will have to wait a week to meet. Despite the wanting of Nebraska to change the visit date, Wright is still very much looking forward to the trip.

"I'm still looking forward to the trip. Nothing has changed there. I just have to wait until next weekend to get to Nebraska."

Last year Wright rushed for 1,020 yds on 100 carries (10.2 yards per carry) and five touchdowns and received first team all Moore League honors as a running back. On defense he also had 51 tackles and four interceptions.

Wright is also a standout on the track too. He participates in the 100m, 200m, 300m Hurdles, and Long Jumps during track season.
