Murillo enjoys his trip to Nebraska

There was some doubt about how much a visit to Nebraska to might impress Armando Murillo. He is a highly coveted cornerback and actually has some aspirations of going pro out of junior college. That is where the doubt came in with being able to impress Murillo, but Murillo left very, very impressed.

Even when Armando Murillo touched the ground again in Arizona he had a long drive to get back to Thatcher (Ariz.) Eastern Arizona C.C. The 6-foot-0 and 195 pound Murillo did say that he was doing OK.

"I made it back alright," Murillo said. "I have a three hour drive now, but I am back in Arizona."

The trip was something that Murillo could think about on his way back to Thatcher. Murillo had big words for the visit and the experience. He really liked the family like structure that was at Nebraska.

"I like that they are a big family. Everybody. The players, the coaches, the trainers, the fans and everything are all one big family."

"It opened up my eyes. I already had an idea from what people were telling me about how it would be. I was just shocked at how everyone was family. They are all one."

Murillo had his chance to interact directly with the fans. "The fans knew who I was. I signed a couple of autographs. I was with Zac Bowman and they came up to me to. They told me I was the future."

Nebraska has a serious need for more speed and athletes in the secondary. Murillo could be their guy, but they will have to wait. "I can definitely see myself fitting in and playing there. I am not ready to commit though. I am just going to concentrate on my class and my school right now. I am looking to commit at the end of November probably."

Murillo will at least take one more visit for sure and maybe as many as three. "I will take some other official visits. I have one set for Arizona State. I am supposed to set one up for Ole Miss and Florida."
