Huskers expecting teammates this weekend

Earlier this weekend a set of teammates cancelled their visits to Nebraska. However, Nebraska seems to be trying to fill up some spots for a very important Big 12 game in Lincoln this weekend against Texas. There was already one known player from Lauderdale Lakes (Flor.) Boyd H. Anderson expected in Lincoln, but now there is two.

Tall defensive backs with the ability to play either cover corner or safety will be getting a lot of attention from Nebraska going forward. One of the best is Moses Jenkins, a 6-foot-1 and 190 pound athlete from Lauderdale Lakes (Flor.) Boyd H. Anderson.

Jenkins is one of many players from Boyd H. Anderson that is holding division one offers or getting division one interest. Only eight games in, Boyd H. Anderson has sewn up a playoff spot already.

"We're 6-2," Jenkins said. "We have two more games left in the regular season. We are already in the playoffs."

"We didn't win district yet. Next game will determine who wins district and who gets runner-up. The top two go in."

High school corners typically don't put up great numbers because teams have the ability not to challenge them. So is the case of Jenkins who has made the most with very few balls thrown his way.

"I have three interceptions, I believe that it's seven broken up passes and about 22 tackles. Teams just aren't throwing my way."

Jenkins has already taken one trip. The trip went real well for the standout corner/safety, but he didn't commit. This coming weekend he has another official visit set.

"I went to Iowa last weekend. It was real nice. I had a real good time. I didn't commit. I went up there with Josh Bynes."

"Me and Patrick Grant are going up to Nebraska this weekend for the Texas game. I want to see the support from the fans and the coaches at Nebraska. I just want to fit in with the guys."

Besides how the team works Jenkins wants to see how some of the things he witnessed at Iowa and how they compare. "At Iowa the fans were crazy. The fans knew who Josh and I were at Iowa. I want to see if that is the same at Nebraska."

Nebraska is dealing with an early game next Saturday making it tough to get players in. It won't be an issue for the Boyd H. Anderson kids. "We have a bye this coming Friday night so Patrick and I are coming."
