Witt to see Nebraska officially this weekend

Patrick Witt has been a Husker since the end of June. He has been up to Nebraska a few times, but never for a game. This weekend Witt will get to see Nebraska host Texas for one of the most important games of the season. Not only is it important, but seeing a home game with that type of visitor at Memorial Stadium should be a great experience.

Patrick Witt has already seen Nebraska. The 6-foot-4 and 215 pound quarterback from Wylie (Texas) has traveled there unofficially multiple times. With a game this Friday night, there was some doubt about making the trip this weekend.

"I just got off of the phone with Nebraska," Witt said. "I am going to see most of the country, but I will be landing in Lincoln a little before game time."

Witt and Wylie have been competitive down this recent stretch of games and have a game Friday night that is winnable. Patrick will have to get up early the next morning to make the trip, but it should be worth it.

"We do play the night before. I am going to have to get up early. Hopefully I won't be too banged up to make the trip."

Through the other unofficial visits, Witt and his family, have gotten to see the facilities, the stadium, meet the coaches, but never saw a game, meet with a lot of academic people or talk to a lot of players. He is hoping to have that whole experience.

"I kind of know what to expect of the weekend. I am looking forward to the game atmosphere of course and seeing Lincoln during football season."

"I think that it should be a great game and I think that they can win. I am also looking forward to talking to some of the academic people and talking about the classes in my major."
