Sullivan set to officially visit Nebraska

One of the earliest commitments for Nebraska will finally be able to take his official to Lincoln for the Missouri game. Shawn Sullivan was supposed to see the Texas game, but a Friday night game kept him from making that trip. Next week, Brenham (Texas) plays on Thursday so getting to Lincoln won't be an issue.

There is little doubt that recruits from Texas would have liked to see Nebraska play Texas like they did this past weekend. Instead, most will have to wait another week to see Nebraska play Missouri.

That's OK for Shawn Sullivan though. The 5-foot-11 and 180- pound cornerback from Brenham (Texas) wants to see everything that he can on his official visit.

"I will be up there in two weeks," Sullivan said. "I was supposed to come up for Texas, but Coach Shawn Watson said that they rescheduled about everyone for the Missouri game."

"Nebraska wants the commits to come up and really experience the weekend. They want us to experience the game, the tunnel walk and all of that. I know that Patrick Witt will be up there too."

Sullivan has already seen Lincoln once. However, there are always things that you don't get to see or want to see again. Sullivan has a short list of things to do.

"I want to see the town. I want to see how it is around there when there is a game. I also want to check out the campus. I have been up there before so I know a little bit about what to see."

Sullivan would have been in the stands for the Texas game had it not been an 11:00 kick off. He was able to see the game on TV though and saw the effort.

"They gave great effort the whole game. The Blackshirts did a great job the whole game. Nebraska should have won."

Sullivan has been off the market now for months still teams are contacting him to think about taking another trip or two. There have been two that have been persistent in their pursuit of Sullivan.

"Florida and TCU are still after me. They are still contacting me and asking me to look around."
