Huskers still after quick, Texas DE

Nebraska has paid with early home games the past few weeks with not being able to get everyone in on time for the game. One of those players is Marquis Frazier. Frazier from Garland (Texas) was supposed to come in for the Texas weekend, but is eyeing another visit a little later to Nebraska.

One of the better pass rushers in the Dallas area is Marquis Frazier From Garland (Texas). The 6-foot-3 and 240 pound Frazier has Garland first in their district and with a very good record so far.

"It's going good," Frazier said. "We're either 6-2 or 7-2. I am not quite sure. We lost to Rockwall and Plano East."

Through seven or eight games, Frazier is averaging over a sack per contest. Beyond that though, he isn't sure about the rest of his stats.

"I know that I have 12 sacks on the season. I am not sure how many hurries or tackles. I just know how many sacks so far."

Obviously with the success that Frazier has had getting sacks comes from his biggest strength on the field. "My biggest strength is my speed off of the edge. I mix it up too. I will use some moves or I can bull-rush."

Frazier has really been concentrating on his season so far and hasn't taken any visits. That doesn't mean that he hasn't tried or hasn't thought about taking any.

"Everything is good with recruiting. I don't have any visits set up right now. I was supposed to go to Nebraska a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't get a flight to get me there in time."

"I am definitely still interested in getting up to Nebraska. I would also like to see Michigan State and Oklahoma. I have offers from Michigan State and Nebraska."

It seems that there are three teams really standing out to Frazier right now. "I like Nebraska a lot right now. I like the way that they play. It's like my Garland defense. They are coming fast and hard."

"I also like Texas A&M and Oklahoma State. I have offers from those two. I have people at those schools so I know a bit about those schools."

Getting up to Nebraska is something that Frazier is very much looking forward to. When he makes the trip he will be looking for a couple of key things when it comes to the school, team and area.

"I just want to see how it is and see if it's a beautiful place. I also want to see how the people are there. I need to talk to Nebraska about resetting that visit."
