"We are in the playoffs," Jenkins said. "We are already in the second round. We are 9-2. We lost the first two games of the season. We won nine straight."
While the season goes on so does recruiting. Jenkins had a chance to take a couple of official visits already, but doesn't have any plans for any others right now.
"I don't have any other official visits set up so far. I just want to concentrate on the rest of the season. I wanted to keep it all business."
Jenkins has a lot of options to fill those other three visits. There is only one school that he might want to see right now, but he isn't even sure on that.
"I would have to pick from a bunch of schools, but I think that I will take one to Wisconsin. I am not sure yet on that though."
The list of favorites hasn't really changed recently for Jenkins, but he didn't really know what his list looked like. He just knew that Nebraska was on his list.
"Nebraska is up there. They are still calling me and I am thinking about them. I think about their fans that they have."
Besides the direct effort of the Nebraska staff to recruit Jenkins, he hears it every day in the halls of school from Patrick Grant.
"Patrick did commit to Nebraska and he is trying to get me to commit too. Something like peer pressure. It's fin though. We'll see what happens."
Nebraska is still looking at another Boyd H. Anderson player for a possible official. Had things gone right all three of the Anderson kids might have been to see Nebraska already.
"Josh Bynes might have made that trip with us that weekend had there been enough room on the flight. I know that the is going there later on. I don't know when. He's hurt right now."
