"The visit went very well," Dixon said. "It was really a good trip."
Dixon said there was one thing that really stood out to him on the visit. It was something that he had heard about before, but witnessed this weekend.
"The fans were great. I loved the fans here. They really love their football here. I have been hearing about it for a while, but they pretty much proved that. The fans are very supportive of the football team and really all of their athletic teams."
Dixon came to Lincoln after he had already committed to South Florida. When Dixon did commit there are reasons why he committed to South Florida.
"Yes sir, I am still committed to South Florida. South Florida is a school that I can get back home and be closer to my family and they can come and watch me play."
"I had a coach from high school go South Florida too. He is very supportive of me and I could have that there too."
Dixon said that he did see that same support that he could get at South Florida in Lincoln. He also saw something that he couldn't get anywhere else.
"The best thing about coming here is that their coaches are very supportive and it's their fans. There's nothing like their fans."
Could Dixon now go back and talk with the family, on the side of a South Florida commitment, about possibly going to Nebraska? He says that he doesn't think that changing his mind to possibly go to Nebraska will matter.
"No, I don't think so. They will support my decision 100%. It's my decision to make."
The weekend, as a whole, has been rated very high by all of the official visitors. Dixon couldn't help but follow suit. "I would say it was about a "9". About that."
