"We are at the airport," Barfield said. "The trip went really good."
While Barfield didn't come to a decision on the trip it's obvious talking to him that a decision is coming up. He, and Kevin Dixon, just need to make some time to talk to their families.
"It went pretty good. I liked the people up here a whole lot. I am going to go home to talk to my family about the choice I have to make."
"Talking it over with our families, for me and Kevin, is very important. We don't have to go home to do it, but we have to make that call to them."
Barfield said that the fans stood out to him on the trip. He knows that coming from junior college that you need that type of support when you are changing environments like that.
"The people stood out. Their fans obviously care a whole lot about their school. They are very supportive and that is what you want when it comes to starting over. It comes down to how people are going to treat you."
Besides the fans the coaches stood out to Barfield. He knows that Nebraska is one of his top choices, but he isn't ready to make that announcement yet.
"The coaches really showed us a good time up there. Nebraska is one of my choices about where I could go from junior college. I am not quite ready to make that decision right now."
The interior, defensive line played well against Colorado. Barfield took note and said that he could see himself doing the same.
"I see myself making a lot of plays. I still have things that I need to learn, but I am going to make those plays wherever I go, regardless."
The weekend has gotten a lot of high marks, but it seems that Barfield will give it the highest possible. "I would say it was a "10". Yep, it was a "10"."
