Amukamara comments on his first visit

This past weekend was a success for Nebraska despite only getting one commitment from Eric Hagg. There were high marks all around and there could potentially be some more commitments from that weekend. One of those possible future commitments could be Prince Amukamara who, like the rest of the visitors, gave the weekend very high marks.

One of the better recruiting surprises of the year is the emergence of Prince Amukamara. The running back from Glendale (Ariz.) Apollo High School. This past weekend he was in to see Nebraska.

"The trip was a fantastic trip for being my first official visit," Amukamara said. "I loved their fan support."

The fan support was something that all of the visitors commented on. Amukamara liked the fans and the team.

"They show their team and their players a lot of love. Also, just the team and really how they do everything together."

"After the game I got to go into the locker room and they were having a good time. It really was a great experience."

Amukamara was accompanied by Jaivorio Burkes and Eric Hagg from Arizona on his trip. One committed and Prince said that he was close.

"Eric committed while we were up there. I really was eager to possibly commit, but I just want to check out some other schools. I am pretty sure that all of the other schools are pretty good too."

Amukamara has one other visit set up for now. After that, it looks like there are about five teams trying to get one of the remaining three.

"I have one set up for Fresno State for sure. I am looking at setting up one to UCLA, Oregon State, Washington State, Colorado or LSU."

There wasn't anything that Amukamara would change about the weekend in Lincoln and he gave the visit a very high mark. "It was definitely a "9". Everything went very good. It was amazing."
