Kunalic set to see Nebraska

Kickers sometimes have to wait for their chance. Far too often this season, Adi Kunalic found himself waiting. The reason why is because his team was down so often that kicking a field goal was a moot point. He has waited for tomorrow too for over a month, but finally he will take his official to Nebraska.

It hasn't really been a month, for Adi Kunalic, to set up this official visit to Nebraska, but it's not far off. The date has slipped because of the want to bring him in for the players' banquet.

"I am going to Lincoln this weekend," Kunalic said. "I am actually leaving tomorrow morning."

While Kunalic hasn't been to Lincoln that doesn't mean that he doesn't "know" anyone in the recruiting class. The Internet has given him a way to connect with at least one other Nebraska commitment.

"I have already kind of met one of the guys that has committed there. He and I have talked over the Internet. His name is Blake Lawrence and he said that I will have a great time."

Now that the official is here, Kunalic is ready to take it all in. "I am really going up there to have a good time, see what the environment was like and meet all of the players and stuff."

The official visit date was pushed back a couple of times, but in the end it was felt to be best to come in this weekend. That is according to a Nebraska coach and Kunalic.

"Yeah, Coach Shawn Watson wanted me to go out there during the banquet because I will get to meet more of the players. I figured that I would do that."

Although Kunalic has pulled the trigger on a Nebraska commitment that hasn't stopped some teams from showing interest or even offering recently.

"Recently, I got offered by Kansas two weeks ago. I am still committed to Nebraska strongly, so it doesn't matter. I am done."
